DhaagaDhari: Two Sisters Bring Handmade Creations to Virar Flea Market

Virar (Maharashtra) [India], October 23: Homegrown Handmade Brand DhaagaDhari Founded by Antara Pravin Gumgaonkar and co-founded by her sister Kiran Amol Dhakate, DhaagaDhari is preparing to showcase its handmade creations at the Virar Flea Market from October 30 to November 1, 2026.
The brand began on January 26, 2025, with a focus on embroidery and personalized handmade products. Its first creation was an embroidered family photo hoop designed to turn cherished memories into keepsakes. The venture received its first order, for a wedding hoop, just a day after its launch.
As the brand developed, Antara’s sister Kiran joined as co-founder, bringing her expertise in crochet. While Antara focuses on embroidery and personalised creations, Kiran contributes crochet products, bringing their individual skills together under one brand.

Building DhaagaDhari has also involved balancing entrepreneurship with family responsibilities. Antara started the venture when her baby was just nine months old, drawing on her husband’s support while navigating the demands of motherhood and running a business.
