Vishwabharati Defence Academy Cadet Ananya Sebastian Selected for NCC Special Entry, Begins Officer Training at OTA Chennai

New Delhi [India], October 1: VDA presently trains around 159 students across its two CBSE-affiliated residential campuses in Yavat and Shivneri, offering a two-year residential programme that combines NDA and JEE coaching with CBSE  Schools for Classes XI and XII, along with dedicated preparation for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. The Academy is led by senior retired officers of the Armed Forces, including Col Subhash Pol (Retd), an alumnus of Sainik School Balachadi Jamnagar ,a Kargil War veteran, and Col Rohit Tewari (Retd), a former officer of the Regiment of Artillery and Military Intelligence, along with Mr. Ananda Hota, a first-generation entrepreneur and founder member of the institution.

Ananya Sebastian completed her two-year residential NDA course at VDA before proceeding to Fergusson College for her graduation. During this period, she was selected under the NCC Special Entry scheme and will now begin her officer training at OTA Chennai – a milestone the Academy has held up as a validation of its training model, which blends military mentorship, physical training, and academic rigour to prepare students for the career as commissioned officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
