Micro Labs and IMA Bengaluru Organise Walkathon to Mark World Environment Day 2026

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 05: Reinforcing their shared commitment to environmental sustainability and public health, Micro Labs Limited, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bengaluru, organised a walkathon on June 4, 2026, to commemorate World Environment Day 2026.
The walkathon was flagged off from Victoria Hospital, Bengaluru, and concluded at IMA Chamrajpet, where participants took part in a sapling plantation drive to promote urban greening and environmental conservation.
The event was presided over by Dr Bharath Raju, President, IMA Bengaluru, and Dr Pradeep Kumar K.N., Honorary Secretary, IMA Bengaluru. More than 200 participants, including doctors, healthcare professionals, and students from the Government College of Nursing, joined the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bharath Raju, President, IMA Bengaluru, said, “As medical professionals, we witness every day the close connection between environmental health and human well-being. Preserving nature is not just an ecological responsibility but a public health imperative. Every step we take towards protecting our environment contributes to healthier communities and future generations.”
