Khavda 4C Power Transmission Limited Marks World Environment Day with Major Beach Clean-Up Drive at Ubhrat; 1,500 Kg Waste Collected

Ubhrat, (Gujarat) [India], June 05: Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, Khavda 4C Power Transmission Limited organized a large-scale beach clean-up drive at Ubhrat Beach on the occasion of World Environment Day. Aligned with the official World Environment Day 2026 theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, the initiative reflected the company’s dedication towards environmental conservation and climate-conscious action at the grassroots level.
The clean-up drive at Ubhrat Beach aimed to raise awareness about responsible waste disposal, marine conservation, and the importance of preserving natural ecosystems. Employees actively participated in collecting plastic waste, discarded packaging materials, and other non-biodegradable litter from the shoreline, helping restore the cleanliness and ecological balance of one of South Gujarat’s popular coastal destinations.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar Gaurav, Project Head, Surat Project, Khavda 4C Power Transmission Limited, said, “World Environment Day reminds us that environmental responsibility is a shared commitment. Through this beach clean-up initiative, we wanted to contribute meaningfully to environmental conservation while encouraging our employees and the community to adopt sustainable habits.
