The plan offers sum insured options ranging from INR 5 Lakhs up to INR 5 Crores, along with unlimited reinstatement of the sum insured within a policy year, ensuring continued protection even in case of multiple claims. The base plan provides comprehensive coverage for hospitalisation expenses including room rent, ICU charges, surgeries, modern treatment methods, AYUSH therapies, and pre and post hospitalisation costs. It also covers day care procedures, domiciliary hospitalisation, organ donor expenses, and emergency ambulance services, offering holistic financial protection during medical contingencies.
A key differentiator of MHCP EDGE+ is its modular structure, which allows customers to enhance their coverage through a range of add-ons and riders. These include Consumables Plus to minimise non-payable expenses at the time of discharge, Super Cumulative Bonus for accelerated growth of the sum insured, and Major Illness and Accident Multiplier benefits for higher protection during critical events. The product also offers global coverage options for both emergency and planned treatments abroad, catering to customers with international healthcare needs.
In addition, MHCP EDGE+ introduces features focused on long-term affordability and future readiness. The Age Shield rider enables customers to lock their premium at entry age until a claim is made, while Smart Tenure allows customers to combine their sum insured across the full policy tenure, giving them access to a larger overall coverage amount that can be used as needed, even in the early years of the policy.
