Karnataka High Court Accepts Affidavit Notarised on EZNotary, a Step Toward Digital Legal Paperwork in India
NOIDA, Uttar Pradesh, November 2026: The Karnataka High Court has accepted an affidavit that was notarised entirely online. The decision could change how Indians handle one of their most routine and time-consuming legal formalities. The document was notarised through EZNotary, a digital notary platform run by Noida-based Quereshan Solutions Private Limited. When it accepted the affidavit, the Court also directed its Registry to consider e-notarisation for court filings.
That is a big milestone for a company incorporated only in February 2025. It also brings attention to a question litigants, tenants and businesses have asked for years: why does getting a document notarised still mean a trip to a notary’s office, a long queue and a pile of photocopies?
How the platform works
EZNotary was built to remove those steps. Users upload their document and verify their identity through Aadhaar eKYC. The platform’s “Instant Connect” feature then puts them on a secure video call with a live Notary Public. The document is signed with eSign, stamped through eStamp where needed, and notarised. The company says the whole process usually takes less than 15 minutes, and users never have to visit a physical office.
Every video session is recorded and stored securely for 10 years, so users and authorities have a verifiable record of each notarisation. The platform uses bank-grade 256-bit AES encryption and holds ISO 27001:2022 certification for information security management. It is designed to support compliance with India’s digital documentation and information technology regulations.
