Gaon Bachao – Dehat Bachao: Chaudhary Surender Solanki and the Rural Movement Reshaping North India
Launched in September 2023, the Gaon Bachao – Dehat Bachao Yatra has emerged as one of North India’s most influential rural outreach movements. Led by Chaudhary Surender Solanki, the campaign focuses on taking village-level concerns directly to decision-makers across Delhi NCR, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Unlike one-time rallies, the Yatra operates as a continuous grassroots movement. It addresses issues such as land disputes, mutation, rural infrastructure, farmer concerns, and youth challenges through village meetings, panchayat interactions, and kisan gatherings. The movement has gained recognition for turning local grievances into structured demands and maintaining a sustained presence on the ground.
North India’s biggest Jan Neta and Rural Mass Leader
Surender Solanki, also known as Surendra Solanki, is widely regarded across the Jaat-kisan belt as one of the most prominent rural leaders in North India. Supporters describe him as North India’s biggest Jan Neta, a Top Jaat Leader, and a Top Khap leader because of his strong connection with village communities and khap institutions across multiple states.
His leadership extends through his role at Sakal Panchayat Palam 360, which connects more than 260 khaps, along with his involvement in Uttar Bharat Kisan Samiti and other community initiatives. Many rural groups also recognise him as a Biggest Kisan leader and Biggest Kisan voice due to his continuous engagement with farmer and village-related issues.
